Big News!

I’ve released my first collection of self published poetry. “The Weight of Nectar”, traces my journey through mental illness recovery. I hope you will find a place to connect and heal through these words.

Meltdown

if I was a bar of gold it wouldn’t seem so bad

to be liquid

poured out

                           shaped again

it’s in the cooling where

I begin to shine

a little gold chunk

pulled from the earth

to become something special

     maybe I need to melt

a time or two

practicing how to be

flexible

in a world

so cold.

Oh My Goodness! The release date is here!

“Inn Love” will be available for purchase on September 1/ 2019. I’m so excited. I truly can’t believe this is actually happening. I’ve been working for ten years on this dream coming true, and now, here it is, right around the corner! Eeeek!

I’ve also jumped into the world of self publishing this past week. You can find my short story “Tilt Kettle” on Amazon. If you happen to buy it, I hope you’ll leave a review.

Here’s a little taste of what “Tilt Kettle” is all about.

Chef Smith Henry is an unhappy, lonely workaholic who spends too much time at the hotel where he is the executive chef of a fancy kitchen. When his young, beautiful, protege decides she will be moving on to another career opportunity, Chef Smith finds himself descending into a spiral of helpless jealousy, infatuation, and day dream.
This short story is based upon the author’s time working in kitchens.

I’ll be sure to make another post soon about the novel… about MY novel, that I WROTE! Can you even believe it?

I thought I’d start with some sneak peaks at some of the characters you’ll find in Inn Love. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do!
